AUG 10, 2005 - Picked the car up from getting wired with some new pictures.

Some better pictures of the dash, altho there was quite a bit of glare from the sun.

Here are the rear light bezels installed and wired.

And the headlights wired.

And finally I threw in a new side picture

AUG 23, 2005 - Spent a few hours putting the front bumper on. Gonna have to pull it off to get the grille in but I wanted to get the brackets on right. Pictures are a little dark since the car is in the warehouse

OCT 13, 2005 - Got most of the interior put in finally at Westminster Auto Upholstery in Anaheim. Great company and great owner, Pete. Here are a few pic's

DEC 7, 2005 - Just got a message on my guestbook telling me to get off my ass and update the site more. It's true, need to update it more often so I will. Not a whole lot has been going on, no new pictures. My buddy and I tried to install the steering column a few weeks ago but found that I'm missing the firewall bracket, so that didn't happen. We then tried to put the steering wheel on but found my turn signal lever was broken so that didn't happen. We then tried to put together the grill but found I had all the molding clips except the two for the I piece, so that didn't happen. An altogether waste of a day.
I have since received the bracket, and I have the turn signal arm on the way. Still looking for the clips tho. My plan is that one I get the steering column in with the wheel then I will send the car to get the new glass put in. Once that is done it's off to Gage Auto to fix some minor defects. Once that is done it's off to the guy who will be priming the engine and getting all the minute stuff done with the engine. He will also install the exhaust. I'm figuring another 4-6 months until I can turn the key.
We won't be able to get to the steering column until Jan, so once I get that in I will get some new pic's up.
JAN 15, 2006 - Spent 7 hours yesterday putting in the windshield wiper pivots...twice. Like a dummy I forgot to put the gasket's and watersealing plug onto the pivots so off they came and then had to put them on once more. Working under the dash is a bitch. We then put the defroster vents onto the dash and hooked them up to the heater box. Last but not least we put the steering column in and the wheel. The steering column needs to be moved another half inch in but we're waiting till we find out how the firewall bracket that the column goes through is attached to the firewall. It has some large holes in the bracket so Im not sure if there are some kind of special hardware I need to attach it.
Also, you will notice the horn ring for the wheel is not correct for the 69 charger. I screwed up and thought it was a correct wheel and got it restored. Cost a ton of money so this will be staying, at least till I can the cash to find a correct one.

I ordered the glass last week. Pilkington had the whole set minus the passenger side front and rear so I will use my old ones for those two until they have them in. Will be sending it to get the glass installed in the next few weeks hopefully.
MAR 18, 2006 - The glass is in. I had to re-use my passenger side rear until I get a new one, plus I need the weatherstriping for a few area's, which are on the way but the majority of it is done. It was done by Tony at Mike's Glass near where I work. Tony does alot of the glass work for Gage Auto who did the body and paint for me:

Next weekend we are going to install the front grill and going to take the wheels off and start restoring those. Once the new tires are on then it's off to get the driveshaft, exhaust, and parking brake put in. The guy who is doing that will also be doing the first start up of the engine. After that is complete it goes back to Gage Auto to fix a few things, add the wheel wells onto the car, and put the rear R/T symbol onto the tail panel. After that it goes to my interior guy to get the seatbelts put in and the headrests put in.
Then it's done.
Almost home.
