MAR 26TH, 2006 - Put the grille moldings onto the grille and then installed the grille. To install the headlight door actuators we had to put the actuators in first, behind the headlight grille and then placed the grille in. This is what it would look like from behind:

Anyways, here are the pic's of the installed grille:
As you can tell, I took off the wheels, will begin restoring those next week.
JULY 1ST, 2006 - The windows are now all complete. I've also restored the wheels and put on the original redline bias ply tires:
So now I will be sending it to Maloof Racing Engines in San Gabriel (Who I wished I had found from the beginning, this guy could have built me a bitching engine). Sammy Maloof is going to put in the exhaust, the parking brake kit, check out the engine to see if Gilbert did a good job (crossing fingers), check all the fuel and brake lines and do the initial start up of the engine.
So I am hoping to have this thing turning over in the next few weeks.
OCTOBER 9TH, 2006 - Last month made it 3 years since I first brought the charger and started work on it. At that time I felt I would be done in a year.....how wrong I was.
The Charger has been at Sam Maloof's shop since July 13th, here is a picture of the girl on the trek to his shop:

If you want to check out Sammy's shop just tune into the new TV show Smith on CBS. They film at his shop everyweek as the Ray Liotta's mechanic shop, still waiting to see the girl there tho.
The exhaust is in, the parking brake is in, the carb and fuel connections are done, he is getting the brake and accelerator pedals all connected, got the ignition connected. Not too long before the first turnover of the engine. I took a few pics of the engine a few days ago:

The exhaust tips are on the way. The driveshaft has been put in. I had to order some bolts for the flexplate since they were missing from my tranny for some unknown reason, they should be there soon. Today I ordered the backup light assemblies, door lock knobs, interior door handles, the outside rearview mirror and a trunklock set from Year One. All that will be put on at Sammy's.
